How this calculator works

When to use this calculator
Clinician-assessed alert, stable blunt-trauma patients within the stated population. Exclusions include pregnancy, vertebral disease, acute paralysis and reassessment of the same injury.

Worked example
A 65-year-old who walked after a simple rear-end collision still meets a high-risk criterion. The result is imaging; walking and rotation cannot subtract that indication.
Limitations and safety notes
Never force movement or use this as a self-clearance exercise. Unknown findings cannot clear the neck. Later presentations may phrase fall height differently; this widget explicitly uses the 2001 metric convention and does not prescribe imaging modality.
Frequently asked questions
Can several low-risk findings offset age 65?
No. Any high-risk criterion ends the rule at the imaging branch. Rotation assessment is hidden in that situation.
