Worked example

Fictional liquid prescription: 1.5 mg once daily with a 1 mg/mL preparation gives 1.5 mL and 1.5 mg/day. Entered single and daily limits of 2 mg are example prescription values, not general pediatric limits. A 2-mg prolonged-release tablet is not an interchangeable substitute for that liquid calculation.
